Don't Expect Free Skill Points

The free skill points we received last week were due to problems with the launcher. A fault you can directly attribute to CCP. It was their fault, it was only appropriate to gift their customers for the inconvenience they caused.

I see a lot of comments and tweets from people who are expecting another free skill point disbursement once this latest DDOS problem is resolved. Don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen.

It would be exceptionally dumb to reward free skill points over this anonymous internet attack.

First of all, this happened through no fault of CCP's, thus they cannot be blamed for the server unavailability.

Second, and most importantly, were CCP to reward free skill points for an attack that almost anyone could launch against CCP for a small fee (via booter sites), they'd be encouraging more such attacks. "Hey, if we DDOS CCP, we get free skills."

CCP experienced a DDOS attack about 18 months ago. Via LulzSec. No gift happened then either.

Whereas giving out free skill points is not on the table, reimbursing for lost time should be. I would be very surprised if CCP did not do this. CCP is not the kind of company to not do this.

I was logged into EVE Online thirteen hours ago (22:18 evetime at the moment.) I believe EVE went down shortly after downtime. So there's been about eleven hours of downtime so far? If the servers were to come up in five minutes, they should add eleven hours onto everybody's account.

You people didn't pray hard enough for me. My alt's skill queue has run down to zero. Bastards.

Man, I could use some free skill points. I don't think we should get any, even if it would help out my situation.

What lesson have we learned? Never go to sleep thinking "Lots of time, I'll just log in and add skills to the queue tomorrow."

Hab ich mir fast gedacht! Wäre ja sonst quasi eine Hackereinladung!

Das ist ja erstmal nur eine Vermutung. Aber ich seh das genauso und würde kein eSP verteilen, wenn ich CCP wäre.

Ich hab noch ned mal meine eingelöst, welche ich bekommen habe! xD

War ja nie auf Stationen unterwegs! 

Ich will aber SP was können den die Spieler dafür! Ich steh doch nicht in der Nacht um 4 auf und füll meine Skillquee pünktlichst auf die Sekunde genau mit dem nächsten Skill auf  ich will kein beschissenes Geschenk ich will nur die ca. 2x 40k SP die ich verloren hab 

Und mal erlich welcher Hacker macht so nen Angriff wegen sagen wir mal 100k free SP die man kiregen könnte wenn CCP sie geben würde... lol niemand nieeeeeeeeeeeeemand kein Hacker is so doof und machst für so einen Hungerlohn wo nich mal Geld rausspringt so ne Atacke. Für so ne Beleidigung würd ich aber wenn ich Hacker währe gleich nochmal ne Attacke starten, weil das ist dummes Geschwätz das es eine Einladung währe für solche Angriffe.
