Fweddit - Arzad. Ourzad.
Iron Oxide is a group that is reviled moreso than Late Night Alliance, and not just because of their "close" ties. Iron Oxide is the most PvP risk averse group in the Minmatar militia. These are dudes that won't fight without three-to-one odds in their favour. Brawling is not in their vocabulary. You fly into their system with ten Thrashers, even if you just saw ten of them undocked and roaming, they won't fight, not unless they can fleet up twenty cruisers or thirty destroyers.
It is tickling everybody that these guys are now homeless.
How did this happen? A lot of hard work from a lot of dedicated Amarr militia. Foremost, Almity of Imperial Outlaws (iLaw, for short.) Second to that, Pinky Feldman of No Moar Tears (now of I Whip My Slaves Back and Forth.) Almity and Pinky could not stay awake thirty-six hours straight, so where they had to bed down, people like Jericho Willis, Rhollor Lightson, Rommel Drako, and Tristan deCuhna took over. It's been an amazing team effort.
Whereas those guys led the logistics of plexing a system constantly for thirty-six hours, it could not have happened without all of the Ammar militia taking part. This was not simply an effort of I Whip My Slaves Back and Forth (the Fweddit alliance) and Imperial Outlaws, but of the entire militia. Fleets were entirely mixed across the Amarr spectrum.
Did we get fights from the Minmatar? Unfortunately, no. You'd think Late Night Alliance could have mustered some support for their Iron Oxide brothers, but such is the selfishness of the Minmatar. We actually saw more resistance from non-militia organizations like Heretic Nation than from Minmatar themselves. Since we had no fights, and since plexing is so god-awful boring, we had people keeping up the community spirit. We had Scort Tofusin live streaming some oil painting. We had Pinky Feldman and others streaming movie and TV nights. A lot of work was done to keep spirits high and boredom down.
Let's not forget the DUST 514 players. Since Uprising, DUST actually can matter in faction warfare. Battles now happen in faction warfare where plexing is happening. Because of the plexing activity, probably 70+% of the faction warfare DUST fights were happening in Arzad. And because Amarr players took to their Playstation 3s, DUST ended up giving the Amarr a huge plexing advantage. It shaved eight or so hours total off plexing the entire system into Amarr control. DUST 514 played a key role in Arzad's capture.
So many words of congratulation have to be given to so many people, I haven't even touched on a twentieth of them all. I wish I had all the names. To all of you reading, that were involved, feel free to shout out whoever you want in the comments here or on r/fweddit. Give credit where it is due.
Myself, I took part in maybe six hours of plexing total. Not a whole lot, by comparison to many many others. I wanted to take some small part in the effort, though. I am very proud to be a Fwedditor. Even though Poetic has moved on to nullsec, I kept an alt in Fweddit, because being a continuing part of this community is important to me. It's one of the strongest and closest communities I've ever come across in EVE Online.
A lot of groups call us unorganized (see any Susan Black blog post, for instance), but that's just jealousy. We accomplish what we do because we're motivated, not because we have several hundred Russian plex farmers behind us.
One day I hope to call myself a GENT, but I will also always be Fweddit.

Inderästing. Wenn ich nur wüsste, wo die ihre Absprachen treffen. Dann hätte man ja mal mithelfen können. Ist ja nicht so als wären wir nicht GENAU in dieser Gegend unterwegs.
