[Jester's Trek] Last chance to support Star Citizen
Last chance to support Star Citizen
Just a quickie.
If you believe, as I do, that what EVE needs to fundamentally grow as a game is a competitor, then this appears to be your last chance (for now) to support Star Citizen's crowd-funding and get in on the ground floor of this game.
I wrote about this a month ago and said how enthusiastic I am about this game. If the devs on this one can deliver on a quarter of the promises they've made, they've got an absolute internet spaceships winner on their hands. And as I've said in comments to this question, to date Chris Roberts has never promised anything that he couldn't deliver. I'm proud to be a contributor to the game's success myself. When I first wrote about this a month ago, the team had an end-state fund-raising goal of two million dollars.
They're past 4.5 million dollars now and they've hit all of their stretch goals, so it looks like they're closing down the crowd-funding. As I write this, a timer on the site shows 24 hours until crowd-funding donations will no longer be accepted. I can kind of understand why: they're going to be sending the Beta to 66,000 players as it is today. ;-)
So if you've been thinking "Yeah, maybe," it's time to contribute now (and get the benefits of contributing) or never.
That is all.
