I was going over Paxton's New Member Guide wiki page, so that I could finally complete the final processes, when I came across a statement that almost made me facepalm ("Oh fuck, how did I not read that two days ago?"), until I decided to check the page history. I got a laugh out of this.
I don't have any time tonight to log in to buy ships, but definitely on my list for tomorrow.

I finally completed the last phase of my authing, and am now all signed up for Goon Services. That was as painless a process as I've ever experienced in authenticating. Create an API, submit it, and the damned system automatically signs you up for everything. "It was slick," to steal a turn of phrase from another dude.
It didn't take me 10 minutes, mind you, but then I was double-checking everything and then asking some questions about the KillLog portion of the API. But if I were to do it a second time, yeah, about a ten minute process (maybe slightly less.) So, my apologies for doubting you, Khan.

The CSM8 ballots were released today, along with a good thwack of analysis. Those tinfoil thoughts that were percolating due to the extended and silent delay? They are fading fast. I've no time to do my own bits of analysis right yet, but I hope to do some in the next couple days.

If the CFC ever goes to war with anybody, I would so love it to be against Pandemic Legion. Nobody in Pandemic has ever done me any wrong, but there's something about their in-game attitude that makes me want to see them utterly crushed and destroyed.
