The CSM8 Prediction Results (and My Goon-Level Influence Over the Electorate)

So those ballots were finally released. The delay due to there being a few "hacked" ballots. The vote itself wasn't hacked, mind you. It was just some joker "hacking" his own ballot, inserting seven invalid ballots into the process (each ballot had the same candidate listed fourteen times.) That had no effect on the election. Those seven ballots were identical to seven ballots with only that single candidate listed.

Although the silence on the ballot release delay was annoying, perhaps a wise move by CCP not to reveal why they were being delayed. That would have been a tin-foil thread and a half on the forums. I doubt I would have been part of that thread, depending on the level of detail in their explanation. My starting to think tinfoil thoughts had more to do with the total silence over the delay.

All is done with and the data is ours to analyze. Which is cool. I give CCP big props on releasing all the ballot data. For those still with tinfoil thoughts, forget them. I'd like to think that CCP Veritas has the ethical virtue that he would not involve himself in any election rigging shenanigans. I'd like to think that Veritas is probably the only person at CCP who could rig the election, while still maintaining statistical credibility with ballot data.

I still haven't written the ballot data to a database yet, for more convenient querying, but I did not a quick search and found six ballots matching mine. Subtracting my two accounts, that means that I influenced a total of four people (or one person with four accounts.) Dammit. I thought I had influence over at least ten people. I might have influenced more, with my Don't Vote Bloc mantra, but certainly not a complete slate. My ballot was pretty wacky, and certainly didn't concede to any particular playstyle or point of view. The Goons, on the other hand, had 3964 accounts vote their exact slate.

That all said, here are the results of the CSM8 predictions many of you supplied:
